Audition Tips

You’ve Got This
  1. Research — Understand the plot, characters, and cast requirements.
  2. Be prepared — Rehearse and memorize music; warm up your voice prior to auditions.
  3. Introduce yourself & your song — State your name and the title of your song.
  4. Dress nice but comfortable — You may be asked to move; avoid high heels, flip flops, etc.
  5. Deep breath & smile — Mistakes happen. Don’t apologize—keep going and give the next part your all.
  6. Reading — Focus on character and inflection. If you stumble, continue without stopping or apologizing.

It’s both intimate and powerful.
